We are all sinners, and sinners deserve to die, and die forever. This has created so many arguments among people. Why? Because we believed we are not sinners. We only believe that in order for us to qualify to sinner’s category, we must commit a CRIME. There’s a very big difference between God’s justice from us. In our world, the criminals go to jail and suffer for years or die, but the justice of God put us all in the same condition, criminals or not, we deserve death.  But until now, we cannot accept the fact that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Because of this, it’s hard for us to find satisfaction. It seems like even if we have the power, money, fame, or so, there’s a hole deep inside our hearts. There’s a longing for love, acceptance, and freedom. That’s why we search for these things outside of God, just because we hardened our hearts before Him, believing that we can find true love apart from Him. Until we find ourselves in a series of sin. Our lives are revolving under sinful relationships, drugs, cigarettes, sex, pornography, etc. Because these things do not give us lasting satisfaction, we beg for more, we search for more. The sin that just started small is growing and it pushes us to sacrifice more and more to meet the same degree of pleasure. We are not aware that we are sacrificing the valuable things in us. If we continue to live in sin, we don’t just hurt ourselves, but our family, our friends, and God. We are putting our dreams and hope to the hole we are digging. We are digging our own hole.

Do you want to know how to be set free from the bondages of sin? Let me take you into a dream I once had. I entitled it, FREE.

I was walking alone in a narrow road when I saw a group of soldiers. They told me to stop!  Their guns were aimed at me. I was frightened because they might kill me. I looked at them one by one. They were so serious!  They can shoot me dead if I retaliate, so I just remained standing. One of them walked towards me and he wanted me to trade my money so they could let me pass. I took a big portion of my money from my pocket even if I only have few left. I gave it to him and they let me pass.

I quickly walked, then I was running, I was afraid, but I continued. I reached the end of the road and realized I was in a cliff, and below me was deep water and I could be drowned and die if I continue. I decided to go back and find another path. But as I made my turn, a soldier appeared behind me. He was the same soldier. He wanted me to pass if I would trade my money to him. But he was asking too much, much more than the money I have. I have nothing to trade! So I ran! I heard a series of gunshots. Bullets rained around the place. I jumped to the water and felt the bullets entered my body. Then, I felt nothing.

I didn’t know what happened at that time, but I just stood up from the water. There was silence around me. The soldiers were gone. But I was holding a cardboard. In the cardboard, the word FREE was written. A man suddenly carried me with his arms. I didn’t know who he was. I couldn’t see his face. But I knew I am safe in him.

He told me, “We’re going home.”

Behind the Dream

The road I was following was the road to sin. I was rebellious. I just wanted to go into sin and follow my own even if I have to trade what is valuable for me. And when it came a time that my sin demanded so much from me, there I decided to run. But I was hit by the consequences of sin. I fell and I thought I was going to die. There I recovered. I was given a fresh start. When I stood, the place was quiet. And I was set free. Set free from my sins that haunted me for so long. This freedom came from Jesus. He set me free! He forgave my sins. And brought me home, to the place He wanted me to live.

God loves us even if we have sinned against Him. He doesn’t want us to be separated from Him forever so He sent His son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Jesus died the death we should have died so we can live with Him – a life of freedom and victory. He will cleanse us from all our sins. He will forgive us and make us new.

Jesus will satisfy us! No longer will we seek for happiness, acceptance and love, because Jesus will satisfy us. He will give us whatever we ask in His name.  He will heal our hearts and restore our life. And we will live with Him in eternity forever.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV).

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 1 John 4:9-12 (NIV).

Jesus loves you no matter who you are and what you’ve done. God is knocking at the door of your heart. He wants you to come to Him and accept His love. You only have to step in faith and let God move in your life.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20 (KJV).

  1. Thank you Mark for joining up with us it is appreciated, an amazing dream, my eyes were opened in a different way but with the same results, it was very real.

What you shared Mark is also very real, Jesus has set us free as we can see in The Scriptures below, I will look forward to sharing more with you in the future.

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who Sins is a slave to Sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Romans 6:22-23 But now being made free from Sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of Sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto Sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the Love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.

1John 3 – No one who lives in Him keeps on Sinning. No one who continues to Sin has either seen Him or known Him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous

Christian Love from both of us – Anne.
