God and Man

Man is searching

All of his life, a man will search. He will cut across every boundary just to find what he is searching for. But if you’ll ever ask him what he’s searching, he will answer you – “I don’t know.’’ When you’ll dig deeper, you’ll see he is searching for purpose, and until he finds that, he will continue to search, and all of his life will be filled with disappointments.

Failure – that’s what every man often fears, because man overcomes. Man, in his very nature is a warrior. He does not let every boulder stops him, every trouble to ruin him. He will struggle to win even if it will cost him his life. He doesn’t want to fail, most importantly, in his search.

How he face his battle determines him. His attitude proves his being a man. But failure still comes. Man got tired of the life-long combat so he choose the easiest one. Instead of searching for that hidden treasure, he chose to grab the rocks on the ground.

Immediate things have become pleasurable even if it does not last a lifetime.

Man is sinful

Man has disobeyed God and his sin has put guilt and shame in his heart and he couldn’t face God with confidence. So he hid, and God sought after him.

Man hides, God seeks. Man will wear the best covering he could think of so his sins will be covered. And throughout his life, he will struggle to hide and continue to sin. That’s why man hates God. An encounter with God lays bare all of his sin and puts it into light – that is, his fear. He fears to acknowledge that he is a sinner. Because man believes he is God, and he can define what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil. Man is selfish beyond understanding. He sets the standard, and disobeys God.

Man will continue to wrestle with God. Even to the point of not believing He exists.

Man Needs Redemption

Too much sinful, that’s how you describe a man. Everything he does is stained by sin. He doesn’t have a choice but to sin. Sin is his default setting.

You see, his life is filled with misery. Whenever he face the world, he seems so happy, but on his way home, sadness always meet him. He recognize he can no longer make it. The more he hardens his heart, the more he gets hurt.

He needs redemption.

  1. Hello – thank you for reading and choosing to follow my blog. With so many options available, I truly appreciate you choosing mine. As I read your post from June 11, what I see is a man of honor. A man who has the courage to look at his life honestly and in that process is willing to change. What comes to mind is Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.” Well done you!
